New set photos have emerged showing Diana and Steve reunited and resplendent in delightful 80s fashion.
The Wonder Woman sequel is to be entitled Wonder Woman 1984, possibly a nod to the TV series of that decade starring Linda Carter.
It’s also obvious that Steve Trevor returns, played again by Chris Pine. More than likely is a distant relative of the WWI-era Steve Trevor.

This film is the first live action appearance of Cheetah. All of her previous appearances were in animated television programs (specifically Challenge of the Superfriends (1978), Justice League (2001), and Batman: The Brave and the Bold (2008)) and direct-to-DVD animated films featuring the Justice League. She was never featured in the 1970s live action television series.
The villain role was firstly offered to Emma Stone but she declined. The role was then offered to Kristen Wiig, Patty Jenkins’s first choice.
Will we get to see a feast of 80s fashion and music? Florescent socks, piano keyboard ties, shell suits, jumpers with leather shoulder patches…the mind boggles.
Originally intended to release on December 20th 2019, it was pushed forward over a month to November 1st the same year to avoid competing with Star Wars: Episode IX (2019).
