A new promo video for yuri anime Bloom Into You has given us our first glimpse of studio Troyca’s upcoming schoolgirl romance, slated to premiere on Japanese TV this October.

Adapted from a manga series by Nio Nakatani, Bloom Into You stars Yūki Takada (New Game!, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) as shōjo manga-loving high schooler Yuu Koito and Minako Kotobuki (K-On!, Sound! Euphonium) as Touko Nanami, the beautiful student council president who falls for her like a tonne of bricks.

Directed by Makoto Katō, whose credits include Troyca mystery drama Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation, Bloom Into You sees Yuu approach older schoolmate Touko for advice on how to turn down a love confession …only to receive one from Touko herself!

The ongoing Bloom Into You manga is published in the West by Seven Seas Entertainment.
