Best known for his decade-long stint as Teal’c on classic sci-fi show Stargate SG-1, latest MCM Manchester special guest Christopher Judge has also been making gaming headlines recently as the new voice of Kratos in critically-acclaimed 2018 actioner God of War.

First introduced in Stargate SG-1’s pilot ‘Children of the Gods’, Christopher Judge’s deadpan warrior Teal’c appears in all episodes of SG-1 except Season 8’s ‘Prometheus Unbound’, making him the character with the most appearances in the entire series. A human genetically engineered to be a super-soldier by the alien Goa’uld, Teal’c’s prominent gold forehead tattoo marks him out as the former First Prime of Goa’uld system lord Apophis, whom he served until his defection to the SG1 team.

Meanwhile, the new God of War game sees Judge star as a mighty warrior of a different stripe, taking over the role of main protagonist Kratos from Terrence C. Carson. The eighth instalment in the God of War series, this latest title is a major reimagining of the franchise – not only has the setting moved from ancient Greek legend to Viking mythology, but Kratos has swapped his signature double-chain blades for the ice magic-infused Leviathan Axe and is now accompanied on his adventures by his son, Atreus.

Attending both days of July’s MCM Manchester Comic Con, Christopher Judge joins a guest list that already includes two fellow God of War cast members – Troy Baker (Magni) and Nolan North (Modi). Tickets for the show are available here.
