The latest trailer for Pokémon the Movie: Everyone’s Story has arrived on Japan’s official Pokémon YouTube channel, featuring the movie’s theme song by Japanese rock duo Porno Graffitti.

As reported on Natalie, the theme song is called Breath, described as a simple, warm melody. Member Haruichi Shindō also revealed that he wished he could change his appearance the way Pokémon do when they evolve. But people can’t do that, they can only motivate and inspire each other and he wanted to produce a song reflecting that. The song is available digitally in Japan on 6 July and on CD on 25 July.

The movie is set during Fuura City’s annual Wind Festival, where legend has it that on the final day of the festival the Legendary Pokemon Lugia will appear and bless the city. While taking part in the festival, Ash and Pikachu meet five characters, each with their own troubles. They include Pokémon newbie and student Lisa, mysterious girl Largo, timid researcher Torito, the boastful liar Kagachi and a Pokémon-hating old lady Hisui. The new trailer also offers a glimpse of Legendary Pokémon Lugia and Mythical Pokémon Zeraora.

For the first time, Kunihiko Yuyama will step aside as director to take on the role of animation supervisor, with Tetsuo Yajima directing the 21st film in the franchise. Yajima directed episodes of Pokémon the Series: XY and served as assistant director on Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!

Pokémon the Movie: Everyone’s Story will open in Japan on 13 July 2018.
