A three-hour demo for Square Enix and Nintendo’s upcoming old-school JRPG Octopath Traveler is available to download now for Nintendo Switch.

The ‘Prologue Demo’ allows you to play from the start of the game with all eight protagonists and explore the world’s opening regions. Access to later areas is restricted, but all progress you make in the demo can be carried over to the full game.

If the mere existence of Octopath Traveler is news to you, then you might be excited to hear that it’s a turn-based RPG from the makers of Bravely Default. The 80-100 hour long RPG features eight characters, each of which has their own play style and a special skill that can be used when interacting with NPCs. It has a lovely art style too!

We also heard during E3 that Octopath Traveler will receive no DLC as they see the release version as a finished product.

Octopath Traveler will be released for Nintendo Switch on July 13.
