Penguin Highway’s second trailer has revealed more of the upcoming fantasy film’s voice cast, with Fullmetal Alchemist’s Rie Kugimiya and Little Witch Academia’s Megumi Han among those newly announced.

Rie Kugimiya, who voices Alphonse Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist and Happy in Fairy Tail, and Megumi Han, who stars as Little Witch Academia heroine Akko, join Miki Fukui (One Piece, Naruto Shippuden) as Uchida, Hamamoto and Suzuki – three classmates of Penguin Highway’s 10 year-old protagonist Aoyama (Kana Kita). Meanwhile, Hidetoshi Nishijima and Naoto Takenaka play Aoyama and Hamamoto’s fathers, respectively.

The first feature-length production from Studio Colorido, Penguin Highway is set to debut in Japan this August and will be released in the UK by Anime Limited in 2019. Adapted from a novel by Tatami Galaxy author Tomihiko Morimi, the film follows young Aoyama and his friends as penguins begin to pop up unexpectedly all over their home town – a strange phenomenon seemingly connected to a mysterious young woman played by award-winning actor Yū Aoi (Hana and Alice, Honey and Clover).
