Manga Entertainment is to release standard DVD and Blu-ray versions of its Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex collection on 6 August. The move follows the UK distributor’s recent release of a deluxe edition of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and sequel series 2nd GIG, which was limited to 1,000 copies and hit shelves earlier this month.

The upcoming standard editions will house the 52 episodes of Stand Alone Complex in two cases, collected in a double-walled cardboard slipcase. Unlike the deluxe version, the new titles will not be Zavvi exclusive. In addition, Manga UK says that minor chapter stop issues present in the deluxe box set have been fixed for the standard editions.
