When Square Enix decided it would be returning the Hitman license back to IO Interactive after 47’s latest string of assassinations there was some concern whether the series might be gone for good. While it released to huge critical success, it seemed the sales numbers weren’t quite there to maintain the publisher’s confidence.

Never fear, though, as Warner Bros. has stepped in bring us Hitman 2 – a direct sequel to the latest reboot with an entirely new campaign, a number of new locations, new Elusive Targets and much more.

The announcement trailer shows off the first new location, Miami, where 47 must cause chaos during a motorsport event. Going by the style of the video, it seems the big sandboxes are set to return, giving you a handful of serious of silly ways to take out your targets.

Alongside the sequel announcement, Warner Bros. also revealed a new spin on Hitman Sniper Assassin. This standalone mini-game tasks you with picking off targets from a distant vantage point as 47, but can also be played in co-op with another player. If you pre-order any edition of Hitman 2 you get access to Sniper Assassin immediately.

As for the full game, Hitman 2 will be released on 13 November for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
