First look at Sarah Connor in new Terminator reboot

Just two weeks ago we saw an albeit slightly blurry pic of Linda Hamilton as she’ll look in the new, as-yet untitled Terminator franchise reboot.

However, some considerably better quality pics have popped up online…

…and I think you’ll agree, she’s looking pretty badass.

Not since September last year has there been any talk of a Terminator franchise reboot. Now it seems, we have the first evidence that production has actually begun. Linda Hamilton is returning once again as Sarah Connor in the next Terminator, allegedly already filming in Madrid under the direction of Deadpool‘s Tim Miller.

The new film erases the ugly future of bad sequels and instead follows the events in James Cameron‘s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Thus, Hamilton returns as a now-seasoned warrior who will once again go up against the machines. Hamilton has been absent from the Terminator franchise since T2: Judgment Day, although we did hear her voice in recordings featured in Terminator Salvation.

Not much is known about the new movie, but Gabriel Luna, who appeared as Ghost Rider in ABC’s superhero series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be the new cybernetic killing machine.

We also know that Mackenzie Davis has a key role in not just this movie, but also the rebooted franchise with her character being in the vein of Hamilton’s Sarah Connor. This is probably the smart move rather than just getting caught in the non-stop Sarah Connor/John Connor/Kyle Reese/T-100 drama that has weighed these movies down since Terminator: Rise of the Machines.

The Terminator was resurrected by Skydance’s David Ellison in association with James Cameron, who gets back a lot of the reversion rights to the original 1984 movie, next year.

Luna, Hamilton and Davis are joined by Diego Boneta and Arnold Schwarzenegger, with David Goyer writing the script. Natalia Reyes (Lady, La Vendedora de Rosas) and Diego Boneta also have been set to star in the next film.

The as-yet untitled reboot is slated to be released on November 22, 2019.
