A few days ago, we got our first tease of the new Fallout game and Bethesda’s celebrity EP Todd Howard dropped by Microsoft’s E3 high-profile conference today to give us our first gameplay look at Fallout 76, a prequel to the post-apocalyptic series.

Unfortunately we didn’t see a huge amount, but it appears to be set in the hills of West Virginia and will be a whopping four times bigger than Fallout 4, Howard said.

The world’s been taken over by nature and Howard says that the focus of the game is about rebuilding the city, state and entire country after the bombs drop.

Hope you like the settlement system in Fallout 4, because that will form a major element. IGN have the new footage from E3…

And a base-building trailer here…

Fallout 76 launches on November 14, 2018. Ahead of the official release, it’s using a beta to test for bugs There will also be a collector’s edition for the game with a glow-in-the-dark map and a wearable power armor helmet for an extra price.

It’s an online game where you’ll play with several other dozen players exploring the world. Apparently, you can also opt to go it alone if you prefer. For players that want to team up, groups of four can explore the Wasteland or craft with each other.
