It was back in February that Child’s Play creator Don Mancini and producer David Kirschner revealed to Bloody Disgusting that a TV series on the possessed ‘Good Guy’ doll was in development. Now Mancini has confirmed that Child’s Play: The TV Series is definitely on the way, after tweeting out a GIF, teasing viewers to not adjust their set.

Earlier in the year, Mancini said that the series would be comprised of eight hour-long episodes and that it will be “darker than ever before,” exploring “a world in which we’ve never done before.”

Mancini also revealed that Brad Dourif, who has voiced Chucky in every film, will also be returning for the TV series and that it will not be a reboot. It will instead continue where Cult of Chucky concluded, the seventh film in the Child’s Play franchise which was released in October 2017.
