The first teaser trailer and key art has been unveiled for upcoming fantasy anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, which is slated to air on Japanese TV this October.

Adapting a web and light novel series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime tells the story of murdered salaryman Satoru Mikami, who is given another chance at life as a slime monster in a strange new fantasy world.

Voiced by Miho Okasaki, our slime protagonist bumps into storm dragon Veldora (Tomoaki Maeno), who befriends it and names it ‘Rimuru’. Other characters revealed on the anime’s website include Ogre chief Benimaru (One-Punch Man‘s Makoto Furukawa); his younger sister Shuna (Sayaka Senbongi); powerful but cute demon lord Milim (Rina Hidaka) and Shizu (Yumiri Hanamori), a Japanese girl who has been summoned to the fantasy realm.

Scheduled for two cours (a six-month run-time), That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is made by animation studio 8-Bit, whose previous titles include Infinite Stratos, Encouragement of Climb and Walkure Romanze, and helmed by Yasuhito Kikuchi (Comet Lucifer, Infinite Stratos).
