A new story trailer has been released for Koji Igarashi’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, one which reveals that there is also a new demo available.

A spiritual follow-up to Koji Igarashi’s Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, players control Miriam, an orphan scarred by an alchemist curse which causes her skin to slowly crystallize. In order to save herself, and humanity, she must battle her way through a demon-filled castle summoned by Gebel, an old friend whose body has become more crystal than flesh.

Bloodstained went into development following a successful Kickstarter campaign in May 2015, raising over $5.5 million (way over its $500,000 target). Now, backers who donated $60 or more to the campaign have access to an exclusive beta demo. The demo is playable on PC and according to the latest update on the Kickstarter page, it’s the same one that was playable at E3 a few weeks ago.

Igarashi also reveals that the demo includes new enemies and shards, a side-quest, a shop to buy and sell items, and an alchemy room to craft new items, make food and upgrade shards.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night still has no release date, but is expected to arrive on PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2018.
