It was revealed back in 2017 that a rebooted Tremors TV series was in the works, with Kevin Bacon reprising his role as Valentine McKee, and Vincenzo Natali (of Cypher and Splice) directing the pilot for SyFy. While the pilot was filmed, just last month Syfy pulled the plug on picking it up as a series.

Set 25 years after the original 1990 cult film, the show would have the killer Graboid worms returning to wreck havoc on the small town of Perfection. However, Bacon revealed on Instagram that the show would not be going ahead, saying, “Although we made a fantastic pilot (IMHO) the network has decided not to move forward.”

As reported on SlashFilm, a trailer for this pilot has since appeared online on Vimeo. Having been uploaded by someone going under the username Valentine McKee, it has led some to believe that maybe Bacon himself leaked it. “Not me,” he says, but he has told his followers to “go find it quick” for it’s possible that Syfy will look to try and get this taken down.

What are your thoughts on the trailer?
