Star Wars star Anthony Daniels is to be among the guests at this month’s MCM London Comic Con, show organisers announced in a Star Wars Day post. Meeting fans alongside Daniels, who plays fretful protocol droid C-3PO in the famous sci-fi franchise, will be fellow British thesp Michael Pennington – aka Death Star commander Moff Jerjerrod.
The only actor to star in all eight of the main Star Wars episodes, Anthony Daniels also plays C-3PO in Gareth Edwards’ acclaimed spin-off Rogue One and four animated series – Droids, Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the recently-concluded Star Wars Rebels. He has also made cameos as C-3PO in numerous films and TV shows, including The Lego Movie, The Muppet Show and the upcoming Wreck-It Ralph 2.
Michael Pennington may be best known as an accomplished stage actor and the co-founder of the English Shakespeare Company, but he has a place in Star Wars fans’ hearts as Tiaan Jerjerrod – the Imperial officer in charge of the second Death Star’s ill-fated construction.
MCM London returns to ExCel London on 25-27 May. Tickets to the show are available here.
