Fortnite is just about the biggest video game in the world right now. Meanwhile, Avengers: Infinity War has been breaking box office records and is well on its way to being the highest grossing film of 2018. It makes sense that the two would want to collaborate.

Enter, Fortnite x Infinity War, a limited time crossover event that lets you wield the Infinity Gauntlet and become Thanos in Epic’s culture-defining battle royale game.

How does it work? Well, a meteor will land somewhere on the map containing the Infinity Gauntlet and the first player to claim it will transform into the purple menace from Marvel’s latest.

As Thanos, you can wreck some serious havoc obliterating opponents and destroying structures with a range of new abilities. You also have a super jump and can’t take any fall damage – so that’s nice. If you or other players are able to take him down in a brief moment of co-operation, the Infinity Gauntlet will drop for another player to pick up. We’re sure that won’t be hotly contested at all.
