Netflix has released the first teaser for their original series based on San-X’s bear, Rilakkuma.

Titled Rilakkuma and Kaoru, the stop frame-animated series has Rilakkuma spending its days lounging around the apartment of a young woman named Kaoru. Also living with Kaoru is her pet bird Kiiroitori and a small white bear cub named Korilakkuma, who just happened to show up out of the blue. According to the official Netflix synopsis, the four of them “have adorable, surreal and amazing adventures.”

To get an idea of the kind of adventures they will be going on, San-X’s official Twitter account for Rilakkuma posted a teaser poster for the series, featuring all four characters.

From animation studio Dwarf, the series will comprise of 13 episodes, each around 10 minutes in length. Directed by Masahito Kobayashi, the series will be written by Naoko Ogigami, with Rilakkuma’s creator, Aki Kondo, also on board as a story developer.

The series is set to hit Netflix in spring 2019.
