The next big game from Fallout developer Bethesda Game Studios is Fallout: 76, the company announced today, and although the studio hasn’t yet said what it is, we hear it’s an online game of some sort.

Here’s the teaser trailer:

Excitement has been quietly building since the company and many of its staff posted tweets like the one below, that accumulated with over two million people watching a day-long stream of a bobblehead…

From what we’ve heard, this game is under development at both Bethesda Game Studios’ main office in Maryland and at the Austin office formerly known as Battlecry Studios. That Austin office, which started in 2012, was making a hero shooter called Battlecry before Bethesda canceled it.

October 15 will mark Fallout 3’s 10 year anniversary and many are hoping there will be an announcement of a remastered edition for the PS4 at E3, which would lead nicely into the fall, arguably the most profitable season for high profile game releases, and a 10th anniversary edition of Fallout 3 would definitely be high profile.

We’ll see more of the game at Bethesda’s E3 press conference on June 10.
