The English-subbed version of eye-catching anime movie Batman Ninja is to get its big screen world premiere this Sunday at MCM London Comic Con. Presented by Warner Bros, the free screening of Batman Ninja is slated for 12:30 on MCM’s Main Stage.

Directed by Jumpei Mizusaki with character design from Afro Samurai’s Takashi Okazaki and a script by Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann), the stylish-looking Batman Ninja shifts the action from Gotham City to feudal Japan, as Gorilla Grodd’s time machine whisks the Dark Knight and his worst enemies back to the era of warring samurai.

The Joker and his cronies have set themselves up as the warrior lords of Japan’s divided lands – and, as always, it’s down to Batman to thwart their nefarious schemes. But without any high-tech equipment to assist him, the Caped Crusader will need to rely on his quick wits and allies such as Catwoman to get the job done and return to Gotham City.

Batman Ninja is out now on DVD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray Steelbook from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film will also be available in 4K UHD in a digital-only release slated for this summer. MCM London returns to ExCel London on 25-27 May. Tickets to the show are available here.
