Ant-Man and The Wasp, new trailer

Marvel Studios has released the latest trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp, in theatres this July, and we get plenty of Ant-Man in his Giant-Man form, using a truck as a scooter in the streets of San Francisco.

What we don’t get is any explanation as to just how, if at all, this movie connects to the major universe altering events that just took place in Avengers Infinity War.

There’s no mention of Thanos or world-altering destruction. This trailer gives the vibe of a movie that almost takes place outside of everything that just happened with the Avengers in their recent mega-movie event.

It’s more than likely that during this movie, Ant-Man finds out he’s one of the few heroes left in the world and will inevitably be recruited to have a role in next year’s Infinity War part deux.

The official synopsis…

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant-Man and The Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

The film stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/Wasp, Michael Peña as luis, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janety Van Dyne, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Judy Greer as Maggie and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is in cinemas from July 6th 2018.
