Comic creators Liam Sharp, Cullen Bunn, Ken Lashley, Geof Darrow, Matteo Scalera and Conor McCreery are the latest special guests to be announced for MCM London Comic Con, meeting fans in the pop culture show’s Comic Village area.

Making his debut in the 1980s illustrating for iconic sci-fi magazine 2000 AD, British comic book artist, writer and publisher Liam Sharp’s best known work includes Image Comics’ Spawn: The Dark Ages, DC Comics’ Wonder Woman and DC Vertigo title Testament.

In addition to penning series such as The Damned and The Sixth Gun for Oni Press, Cullen Bunn’s credits include Deadpool Vs Carnage for Marvel Comics, Dark Ark and Unholy Grail for AfterShock Comics and award-winning horror comic Harrow County for Dark Horse.

American comic book artist Geof Darrow is best known for his collaborations with Frank Milller on Hard Boiled and The Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot, for writing and drawing the Eisner-nominated Shaolin Cowboy and as a concept artist on The Matrix movies.

Cutting his teeth on titles like X-Calibre in the ‘90s, artist Ken Lashley’s eclectic career has seen him involved in projects at Hasbro and Lucasfilm as well as working on comics such as Black Panther and X-Men Gold for Marvel and Suicide Squad and Superman for DC.

Currently collaborating with writer Rick Remender on Image Comics’ dimension-jumping sci-fi drama Black Science, Italian artist Matteo Scalera’s résumé ranges from Batman, Daredevil and Deadpool Team-Up to Secret Avengers, Dynamo Five and Dead Body Road.

Conor McCreery is best known as the co-writer of IDW’s Kill Shakespeare (which now also has a play and board game to its name!) along with fellow TV and film industry alum Anthony Del Col, whom he also teamed up with for Titan Comics’ Assassins Creed series.

MCM London Comic Con returns to ExCel London on 25-27 May. Tickets to the show are available here.
