New footage from the upcoming live-action Bleach movie has been revealed thanks to a minute-long trailer from Warner Bros. Japan. Helmed by Shinsuke Sato, director of the Ganz live-action films and anime movie Oblivion Island, Bleach covers the opening story arc of Tite Kubo’s famous manga and is set to premiere in Japan theatres on 20 July.

The film stars Sota Fukushi (Kamen Rider Fourze) as Ichigo; Hana Sugisaki (Blade of the Immortal, Mary and the Witch’s Flower) as Rukia; Ryo Yoshizawa (Gintama, Kamen Rider Fourze) as Uryu; Taichi Saotome as Renji and musician Miyavi – real name Takamasa Ishihara – as Byakuya Kuchiki. We got our first look at Bleach when a teaser trailer was released back in February.
