If you go down to the woods today you’re in for a big surprise: it’s a new game mode for Hearthstone! Yes, Blizzard has confirmed that Monster Hunt, the single player content for the game’s Witchwood expansion, will launch next Thursday – the 26th.

In a new Hearthside Chat video, lead mission designer Dave Kosak discusses everything to expect from the new mode, which has you choose one of four monster hunters and venture into the woods on the trail of Hagatha the Witch.

If you gave the Dungeon Run mode from Kobolds and Catacombs a bash then you can expect something similar here. As you trudge through the forest you’ll face off against a host of different opponents, add new cards to your deck and find a few hidden treasures along the way.

It was a very cool idea the first time around, so it’ll be interesting to see how Team 5 has expanded it further in Monster Hunt.

As for Hearthstone’s latest expansion, The Witchwood is available now, adding 135 new cards to the collection along with two new keywords Echo and Rush.
