Square Enix has revealed everything that’s on its way in the latest major update to MMORPG Final Fantasy 14. Patch 4.3: Under the Moonlight will add new Main Scenario quests, the next wing of the 24-man Alliance Raid, a new trial, a new dungeon, new Beast Tribe quests and a host of additional side content.

Perhaps the most exciting new addition is the continuation of the game’s Main Scenario, which currently has players brokering a peace deal with a new Garlean contact. His intentions, however, are not as pure as he suggests and it seems a more nefarious plan is afoot.

Players will also be able to venture into the next part of the Return to Ivalice 24-man raid. Patch 4.1 sent us to the Royal City of Rabanastre and next up is a trip to The Ridorana Lighthouse. New bosses and a new armour set for each class await.

A new 4-man dungeon has been revealed called The Swallow’s Compass, which rests within the great wall that cuts across Yanxia. Players will also be able to tackle a new 8-man trial, though exactly what it is at this stage remains a secret. It’ll likely be a continuation of The Four Lords storyline.

Beast Tribe quests with the Namazu will be added too. Unlike the Kojin and Ananta quests in Stormblood, these will be focused on crafting and gathering skills.

Phew! What else? Oh, there’s new side quests featuring everyone’s favourite bumbling detective Hildebrand and more on the Doman Reconstruction. The new Deep Dungeon, Heaven-on-High, will open up, as well as the next area in the Forbidden Lands of Eureka.

That’s about everything for now. More information will be released over time on the Under the Moonlight microsite. The patch itself is scheduled for release in late May.
