Beyond: Two Souls and Rayman Legends hit PS Plus in May

We’re coming to the end of April (already? really?) so Sony has announced that PS Plus subscribers will be getting Beyond: Two Souls and Rayman Legends as part of their free games collection in May.

It’s a fitting time for Beyond: Two Souls to hit the membership service considering Quantic Dream is about to release Detroit: Become Human, the latest in their line of bizarre narrative adventures.

Beyond featured the acting talents of Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, who both fumbled through an awkward time-hopping story that saw Page’s character, Jodie, try to come to terms with a supernatural spirit she was tethered to. That led to a lot of experiments at the hands of Dafoe’s researcher, Nathan Dawkins, and also saw Jodie fighting in the military at some point. Or something. It was mad and a little awful, but still oddly compelling in its own way.

Rayman Legends, on the other hand, is an absolutely joyous platformer from Ubisoft. Helmed by famed Beyond Good & Evil director, Michael Ancel, you owe it to yourself to get this played. Fast.

Meanwhile, PS3 owners get vast RPG Risen 3: Titan Lords and comic book adventure Eat Them!, whereas Vita players have offbeat arcade game King Oddball and cute puzzler Furmins.

You can head to the official PlayStation blog for more info about each of the games in this month’s lineup.
