Steven Universe fans may want to book their tickets to Brum – Grace Rolek, the voice of Connie Maheswaran on the cult favourite Cartoon Network show, has just been announced as a guest at this month’s MCM Birmingham Comic Con.

If you’ve yet to check out Steven Universe, Adventure Time alum Rebecca Sugar’s Emmy-nominated cartoon follows the titular Steven’s adventures as the youngest of the Crystal Gems, a team of magical heroes dedicated to defending humanity. Rolek’s character Connie is Steven’s introverted but kind-hearted best friend, who eventually becomes a member of the Crystal Gems herself.

A voice artist since the age of seven, Rolek’s other credits include Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs; Happiness Is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown; Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children; Whisper of the Heart and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.
