Reol buries the past in music video for End

Following the disbandment of the Japanese EDM group REOL, Reol returns as a solo artist, with a new mini-album, Kyoko Shu on the way later this month. Heimenkyo was the first track from the album released digitally back in January. Now Reol has released the music video for the song End.

Given the upbeat electronic tracks she is known for (particularly when a part of REOL, with Giga P and Okiku), End is slow yet weighty in comparison. The rather sombre video has Reol using a payphone (which happens to be in the middle of nowhere) to call herself. During her call, mourners carry a coffin to its grave. Reol took to Twitter to announce the upload of the video, revealing that it was shot at Byōbugaura and that it was very cold.

Reol – Kyoko Shu (Regular Edition)

Reol’s five track mini-album Kyoko Shu is released on 14 March 2018. All the tracks are written and composed by Reol.

The Regular Edition includes five tracks, while the Limited Edition comes with a 40-page conceptual book that includes text, photos and artwork. You can check out the trailer for the album below.
