Netflix UK has added Kyoto Animation drama A Silent Voice and a pair of sci-fi mystery series, Production I.G’s B: The Beginning and A-1 Pictures’ Erased, to its rapidly-expanding anime roster.

Helmed by Naoko Yamada, critically-acclaimed movie A Silent Voice isn’t what you might expect from the director of fluffy schoolgirl series K-On!. Instead, it’s the moving story of a former class bully who reaches out to the deaf girl he tormented at junior school.

Conspiracies and riddles abound in Netflix/Production I.G collaboration B: The Beginning, which follows genius investigator Keith Flick as he rejoins the royal police force just in time to work a brutal double murder – has the mysterious ‘Killer B’ struck again?

There’s also a serial killer on the loose in Erased, Silver Spoon director Tomohiko Ito’s taut time-travel mystery. The 12-part series sees protagonist Satoru whisked back to 1988 and into his 11-year-old body to try and prevent his classmates’ kidnappings and the murder of his mother.

Both A Silent Voice and Erased are also available on DVD and Blu-ray from Anime Limited.
