Bandai Namco announced back in July 2017 that Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time would be released in the US and Europe. Now they have revealed the release date, as well as uploading the game’s opening cinematic.

Based on the anime series by Trigger, the JRPG action game will be available for the PS4 through the PlayStation Store, and on Steam, on 15 May 2018.

Atsuko ‘Akko’ Kagari enrols at Luna Nova Magical Academy, a prestigious school for young girls training to become witches. With summer holidays approaching, an inexplicable phenomenon occurs, caused by Seven Wonders, which plunges Luna Nova in a time-loop. Can Akko and her friends to solve the mystery and get things back to normal so that they can finally start their vacation?

The game was previewed at MCM London Comic Con back in October 2017, where it was revealed that there are seven playable characters to choose from. As well as investigating dungeons, battling bosses and earning points to unlock new spells, you can also explore the halls of Luna Nova Magical Academy and interact with characters from the anime that had previously spent their time in the background.

The opening cinematic to the game features the song Cradle of Eternity by Yuiko Ohara, who also performed on the anime series and the original OAV.
