Warner Bros has released the teaser trailer for the sequel Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, which features a good first look of Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, and not so much of Johnny Deep as Gellert Grindelwald. There is also the poster (click to enlarge), with lead characters Dumbledore and Newt Scamander standing in front of a familiar symbol.

The dark wizard Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), only to escape custody and set about gathering followers. His plan: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to stop Grindelwald, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

The trailer features returning characters Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski and Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone. The cast also includes Zoë Kravitz as Leta Lestrange, Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander and Carmen Ejogo as Seraphina Picquery.

Written by J.K. Rowling and directed by David Yates, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald opens in the UK and US on 16 November 2018.
