If you thought My Little Pony: Equestria Girls was the closest you’d get to seeing the Mane Six anthropomorphised as humans then you might want to brace yourself, for Japanese company Kotobukiya has decided to take it a step further; transforming the ponies into moe anime girls.

As reported by Crunchyroll, Kotobukiya and Hasbro have joined together to release a new line of bishoujo figures of the original six ponies from the series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Designed by illustrator Shunya Yamashita, it sees the characters reimagined as anime girls.

While Kotobukiya did not offer a release date, nor an image of the actual bishoujo figures, they did release an image by Yamashita of Pinkie Pie and what her sculpted figure is set to look like via their Facebook page. The anime version is seen wearing a t-shirt with a cake on it and a ruffled skirt that also has her cutie mark – a trio of balloons.
