Incredibles 2, new trailer

For 13 long years – my God, has it really been that long – we have wished, almost every day, for a sequel to the…incredible, first Incredibles movie. Everytime there’s a snippet of news about the sequel, we get excited.

And last night, a new trailer dropped during the Winter Olympics coverage on NBC.

According to the official synopsis, “This time Helen (Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (Sarah Vowell) and Dash (Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again – which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.”

A nice, new angle appears to be that while Elastigirl races off on a rather cool-looking motorbike, Mr Incredible is left at home looking after the kids, which is no mean feat and no superpower will help here. “I need to succeed so she can succeed so we can succeed!” He says.

It also features the voices of Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, Jonathan Banks, Sophia Bush and Isabella Rossellini.

Incredibles 2 is slated for a June 15th release date.
