Following a number of rumours suggesting a remake of Criterion’s seminal racer was due for release, EA has confirmed that Burnout Paradise Remastered will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on March 16th.

Not only do you get a prettier version of Paradise City to cruise and crash around while listening to Avril Lavigne – Girlfriend, the remaster also includes all DLC released as part of the ‘Year of Paradise’. Essentially, that gives you a whole bunch of additional vehicles and game modes, as well as the Big Surf Island update, which adds an entirely new district to the game.

The game’s bump in visual quality comes via new high-resolution textures, plus 4k resolution support at 60fps on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

If you want to take yourself back down to Paradise City, Burnout Paradise Remastered will cost £34.99 on consoles in both physical and digital forms. A PC release via Origin is scheduled for later this year, bringing the Big Surf Island update to the platform for the first time.
