Ah, it’s awards season once again. Break out the black ties and designer dresses. Time to spend a small fortune on having your hair done and your shoes polished. The SAG Awards weren’t long ago, the Oscars are coming up and of course, we must also celebrate the worst that cinema has had to offer over the last 12 months.

Transformers: The Last Knight and Fifty Shades Darker are the top contenders to be named worst movie of 2017 at the upcoming Golden Raspberry Awards.

Michael Bay’s sub-standard sci-fi sequel has nine nominations for the awards, which is dubbed ‘the Razzies’ and held alongside the Oscars each year to call out the worst films of the past year.

The fifth installment in the Transformers franchise is up for dubious honours including Worst Picture, Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel, and Worst Screenplay – with Bay also nominated for Worst Director.
