UPDATE (19/01/18) Showcase Liverpool and the Showroom Workstation have announced that they will be screening the film and are added below.

Following the announcement from All The Anime that they would be screening Tokyo Ghoul in UK cinemas, they have now revealed a list of UK cinema locations, as well as presenting a new English subtitled trailer.

Based on Sui Ishida’s hit manga series, the film is directed by Kentaro Hagiwara, who brings to life the story of student Ken Kaneki (Masataka Kubota). After Kaneki is almost killed in an attack by a disguised ghoul, he survives only to discover that he has been transformed into a ghoul-human hybrid. Shunned by humans, Kaneki finds acceptance at Anteiku, a café run by a group of ghouls. They teach Kaneki how to adapt to his new life as a ghoul, such as his need to consume human flesh to survive, and dealing with ghoul hunters.

The film will be shown for one night only on 31 January 2018, in Japanese with English subtitles. So far, the Prince Charles Cinema and Showcase Cinemas are screening the film, with All The Anime saying that “more locations may follow.” You can book tickets by clicking the name of the cinema chain below.
