Nihon Falcom RPG The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 2 is coming to PC on February 14th, XSEED Games has announced.

Originally released in Japan for PS3 and Vita back in 2014, the sequel to Trails of Cold Steel picks up almost immediately after the conclusion of the original game with powerfully-named protagonist Rean Schwarzer having escaped with the Divine Knight, Valimar.

Fans of the Persona series should definitely give The Legend of Heroes series a look. The first Trails of Cold Steel is already available on Steam too, if you’re looking to get up to date with the series.

Once you’ve done so, you can import your saved dated into the second game to ensure the choices you’ve made and relationships you’ve nurtured are carried over.

Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 are both coming to PS4 in Japan later this year. There’s no word on a western release yet. Meanwhile, Trails of Cold Steel 3 also launched in Japan at the end of 2017, with a fourth and final game in the series also in development.
