Warner Bros. has released the first teaser trailer and poster for Teen Titans GO! to the Movies, DC Entertainment’s big screen adaptation of the animated series.

With all the major superheroes starring in their own movies, Robin is determined to get the Teen Titans starring in their own blockbuster. He just needs to get the hottest film director to notice them. However, as the Teen Titans head to Hollywood to achieve their dream, they find themselves ‘misdirected’ by a super-villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth.

The trailer acknowledges the popularity of Wonder Woman (and not so popular Aquaman), with a rare moment of superheroes dressing up as another superhero. Also, if you look closely at the buildings in the city you’ll find references to The Flash, Sinestro, Rorschach and Ace Chemical.

Will Arnett and Kristen Bell lend their voices to the big screen adaptation. Previously their characters had been kept under wraps, however, USA Today revealed that Bell is voicing Jade Wilson, a filmmaker Robin is seeking out. The original voice cast from the series will also be reprising their roles for the film, with Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven and Hynden Walch as Starfire.

Aaron Horvath, creator of the TV series directs alongside series writer and director Peter Rida Michail. Teen Titans GO! to the Movies opens in the US on 27 July 2018 and in the UK on 3 August 2018.
