Bandai Namco has announced that Dark Souls: Remastered will be released for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch on May 25th.

The 2011 RPG, a spiritual successor to the developer’s breakout cult hit Demon’s Souls, will support upscaled 4K resolution and 60fps gaming on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and PC.

The big surprise is the game’s move to Nintendo Switch, where players will get the game at 1080p resolution and 30fps in TV mode, though with the added benefit of being able to take their perilous journey through Lordran on the go.

Dark Souls: Remastered will also support up to six players online in co-op or competitive action.

Though not confirmed at this time, rumours are swirling that this is the first step from Bandai Namco to bring the entire trilogy to other consoles. Keep an eye out for more news soon.
