LEGO’s fan-driven Ideas program has resulted in some of the most awesome sets in recent memory. There’s WALL-E, the DeLorean from Back to the Future (1985) and the Ghostbusters (1984) Tribeca firehouse, just to name a few. Now, the Danish toy company is adding Tron to the list.

LEGO just announced that it’s going to create a Tron: Legacy Lightcycle set, based on the design of a Lego fan named BrickBrosUK. The final version hasn’t been released yet, but there are a few images of the BrickBrosUK set, which will likely be similar.

Since the set was just announced, LEGO hasn’t revealed pricing or a release date, though we should know more in the New Year. Fingers crossed a version of the “classic lightcycle” from the superior original won’t be far behind.

Let’s face facts, the lightcycles in Tron: Legacy were the best thing in the whole movie

Together with the possibility that the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) Super Star Destroyer will be available early next year…means an overdraft extension might be in order.
