Star Wars: The Last Jedi has just passed the $1billion mark for ticket sales worldwide…and already talk is shifting to the next Star Wars movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story, which is set to be released on May 25th next year.
And we still haven’t seen a single official still or any kind of trailer… more than likely because Disney doesn’t want to shift focus away from the frightening money making machine that The Last Jedi has appeared to be.
However, a tweet from Ron Howard – who has provided the only tantalizing glimpses on social media – shows what might be the shadow of the galaxy’s most legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett, in the background, leading may to believe he might be appareling in the new Han Solo origins story.
Had to say goodbye to my friend @Paul_Bettany today. Another terrific performance from a world class talent. pic.twitter.com/6jkNKQNQZZ

When you look carefully at the right hand corner, you can make out what does indeed resemble a Mandalorian helmet, as was talked about on Reddit. The positioning of the rangefinder seems a little off based on where the helmet appears to be facing, but when comparing it to the illustration on the right, it could quite possibly be a match.
Of course, even if this is Boba Fett, there’s no guarantee that he’s actually in the movie.
Rumours abound that Disney is bracing itself – not for a flop, as such – but certainly a significantly smaller box office return than episode VIII, given the problems following the departure of Phil Lord and Chris Miller and even the apparent terrible acting of Alden Ehrenreich.
The Scotsman reports that a new Star Wars movie is due to start filming in Scotland in 2018, but it’s not yet known if this is Episode VIIII or even the rumored Obi-Wan Kenobi movie.
