Ubisoft is giving away Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag for free to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the stealthy stab-em-up series.

From December 12th-18th you can head over to the Uplay Store to pick up a copy of the game on PC. This isn’t just a week free trial or anything too, you get to keep Black Flag forever. Yar-har!

It’s a pretty sweet deal for one of the best games in the Assassin’s Creed series. Just as it appeared to be hitting a period of stagnation with the US-set Assassin’s Creed III, the inclusion of ship combat and pirates singing sea shanties turned out to be the perfect shot in the arm to raise the series out of its slump.
