The creators of Disney’s Star Wars theme park have revealed a first look at the Millennium Falcon. The park will be based across 14 acres at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida and Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed earlier this year that the new parks will open in 2019 – along with the release of Star Wars Episode 9, the final installment of the current film trilogy.

Details of the park were announced earlier this year. A teaser that was shared in April also shared more details about a “remote village” that will form part of the parks. It teased: “The remote village was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but the prominence of the outpost has been bypassed with the rise of hyperspace travel.

“Now home to those who prefer less attention, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders and adventurers travelling between the frontier and uncharted space. It’s also a convenient safe-haven for others intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order.”
