The new series of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card is just a few days away, and the official site has been updated with another character-centric video, this time focusing on Sakura’s friend Akiho Shinomoto.

Sakura Kinomoto is starting her first year at Tomoeda middle school. However, after Sakura has a strange dream involving a mysterious hooded figure, she wakes up to discover that her magical cards are now blank and no longer work. The following day she is introduced to a new student, Akiho Shinomoto. Sakura remarks how similar the two of them are, and it’s not long before they both become friends.

From animation studio Madhouse, with director Morio Asaka returning to helm the new 26 episode series, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card will air in Japan on NHK BS Premium at 7:30am on Sunday 7 January 2018. For those outside of Japan, Crunchyroll will stream the series with English subtitles, and Funimation will stream the series with an English dub.
