Incredible news for fans of stylish fighters from Platinum Games, Bayonetta 3 has been announced exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo released a teaser trailer for the third entry in the bonkers action series at last night’s Game Awards to the surprise of everyone, which shows the titular heroine up to her usual acrobatics.

Sadly, we don’t know much else about the game at this point, nor do we have any idea when it will be released. Expect to hear more in 2018.

Fortunately, we will have something Bayonetta related to play on the Switch while we wait, as Nintendo confirmed that the first two Bayonetta games will be coming to the console on February 16th, 2018.

Platinum themselves teased the possibility of a Switch release earlier this year with a rather suggestive piece of artwork displaying the character split on a red and blue background – much like the red and blue Joy Con controllers on the Switch.

Now we know for sure that a limited edition of Bayonetta 2 will be coming to the console as a physical release, while the original Bayonetta will be included as a download code.
