It might be seen as one of the more stranger movie tie-ins, but Nissan has had a relationship with Star Wars that spans back to 2013, when Nissan Japan released a special edition JUKE inspired by Star Wars Stormtroopers. Last year Nissan USA released their 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition to tie-in with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Now they have gone even further, unveiling six vehicles at the Los Angles Auto Show inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

“We’re back this year collaborating with Lucasfilm and the artists at Industrial Light & Magic to create these amazing concept vehicles across some of our best-selling models,” said Jeremy Tucker, Nissan USA’s vice president of Marketing Communications & Media. Each vehicle was developed by artists at Lucasfilm (who were encouraged by Nissan to “go nuts”), pairing Nissan’s Rogue, Altima, and Maxima models with a craft or character from the upcoming film. Take a look below to see what they came up with.

2018 Nissan Altima – Special Forces TIE Fighter

2018 Nissan Maxima – Kylo Ren

2018 Nissan Maxima – Kylo Ren’s TIE Silencer

2018 Nissan Maxima – Captain Phasma

2018 Nissan Rogue – Poe Dameron’s X-wing (with BB-8)

2018 Nissan Rogue Sport – A-wing

If you’re a Star Wars fan that would like to drive a Nissan Rogue that looks like Poe Dameron’s X-wing, then you might have a bad feeling about this, for unfortunately these concept cars are not available to buy. But you can purchase a Nissan Rogue, Maxima or TITAN with Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility Technology, such as ProPILOT Assist and Automatic Emergency Braking, which they are showcasing on their Star Wars themed website and adverts.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens around the world on 15 December 2017.
