It has to be said that the marketing for Deadpool 2 has been entirely in line with the tone of the movie and it hasn’t disappointed so far

Ryan Reynolds returns as the Marvel antihero, with returning stars including Morena Baccarin (as Vanessa), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al) and Karan Soni (Dopinder). Newcomers include Josh Brolin (Cable), Zazie Beetz (Domino) and Julian Dennison.

Though the first Deadpool hit theaters in February 2016, he’s never been far from our thoughts. There was the short entitled “No Good Deed” that was shown in front of Logan back in in March and Marvel recently released a teaser poster for the movie. It shows Deadpool and his nearest and dearest gathering for Thanksgiving dinner. The image is an homage to the Normal Rockwell painting “Freedom from Want” and includes all of the characters you need to remember from the first movie–including taxi driver Dopinder (Karan Soni) along with newcomers Cable and Domino. It even contains a Stan Lee cameo.

And then…he graced the cover of a special edition of Good Housekeeping magazine last week. Yes, really.

A promotional issue of the magazine featuring the masked vigilante on the cover, was released with copies being handed out in cities around the US and it’s filled with helpful holiday tips from Deadpool himself. In the pages of the magazine, the character has written a letter to readers, shared some of his favorite recipes, including D’s Spiced Nuts and Creamy Clam Skinny Dip-along with six easy step to carving up your Thanksgiving turkey. Of course, Deadpool is using a katana to do his carving.

And now, another teaser has been released, this time with the titillating, titular character taking a Bob Ross approach. For everyone reading this who isn’t American, Bob Ross is an adored Rolf Harris-type, who entertained today’s adult generation when they were kids by painting landscapes and the like.

Deadpool 2 opens June 1, next year.
