Metal and electro-pop collide as two of JPU Records hottest talents are coming together, with LOVEBITES and FEMM performing at London’s The Underworld in Camden on Monday 27 November 2017.

Metal heroines LOVEBITES consists of asami (vocals), miho (leader and bass), haruna (drums), midori (guitar) and mi-ya (guitar and keyboardist). They started working on their first EP at the end of 2016, joined by the amazing engineering team of Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila from Finland. The LOVEBITES EP was the culmination of those sessions, released in the summer of 2017. In August, mi-ya went from support to becoming a full member of LOVEBITES and, as a full five-member group, they released their first full album, Awakening From Abyss.

The mannequin duo RiRi and LuLa make up FEMM (Far East Mention Mannequins), launching in 2013 fighting for the “Freedom of Mannequins”. With an electropop and hip-hop vibe, their music videos feature the duo wearing latex while twerking and tutting. They released their first album Femm-Isation in 2014, which included their anthem with attitude, Fxxk Boyz Get Money. They recently released their latest album 80s/90s J-POP REVIVAL, working with producers MYLK and Radical Hardcore Clique in covering classic J-pop tracks, fusing cutting-edge styles, such as trap and future bass.

This rare showcase takes place on Monday 27 November at The Underworld, Camden, London. Tickets are £10 (that’s right kids, it’s two awesome acts for the price of one) and are available straight from The Underworld’s website.
