In a recent end of year financial presentation, Nihon Falcom has confirmed that they have plans to bring both Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and its sequel Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II to PS4.

The news is being reported by RPG Site, who translated the entire presentation detailing the developer’s plans for 2018.

Alongside a confirmation that they will be bringing the first two games in the series to PS4, the presentation also reveals that a fourth Trails of Cold Steel game is in development for PS4, following the launch of Trails of Cold Steel III in Japan this September.

We’re still waiting on an announcement that the third entry will be coming to the West. Considering the company’s increased sales and the positive reception of the previous entries, chances are it’ll be coming soon, though.

If you’ve not dabbled with the Trails of Cold Steel series yet, they’re a fantastic couple of JRPGs that combine traditional turn-based battles with the social and character development aspects of the Persona series. Definitely a pair of underrated gems of the genre worth checking out either on PS3 or PC, unless you want to hold out for this PS4 release.
