Here’s a bit of a surprise: right now you can download Final Fantasy Dimensions II on iOS and Android devices.

The follow up to the 2012 original is another traditional style JRPG that sends protagonists Morrow and Aemo on a time-travelling journey across multiple worlds.

The game features classic turn-based battles and a unique character progression system based on a vast number of ‘Signet Stones’ you can collect in-game. Each one can be used to customise a character’s skills and abilities, while also summoning Eidolons from across the history of the series.

Final Fantasy Dimensions II has been developed by Square Enix veteran director Takashi Tokita, who has previously worked on Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV. Meanwhile, the soundtrack has been composed by Naoshi Mizuta, whose previous work can be heard in Final Fantasy XI.
