The NHK Japan website for CLAMP’s Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card has been updated with a new visual that shows Sakura clutching her new sealing wand. There are a few familiar faces too. Click to enlarge.
The site has also been updated with additional cast members returning to voice the characters they originally portrayed in the anime, such as Sakura’s father Fujitaka, and the guardians Spinel Sun and Ruby Moon.

The Clear Card arc has Sakura Kinomoto starting middle school, as well as being reunited with Syaoran Li, who has returned from Hong Kong. However, after Sakura has a strange dream involving a mysterious hooded figure, she wakes up to discover that her magical cards are now blank and no longer work. The following night, Sakura has another dream where she is gifted a key from the hooded figure; a key which summons a new sealing wand and allows Sakura to collect new cards.
From animation studio Madhouse, with director Morio Asaka returning to helm the new series, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card will air in Japan on NHK BS Premium at 7:30am on Sunday 7 January 2018.
